Attempting to bake for the very first time in my life

I promised myself to bake once I am home in Malaysia.
I helped in baking when I was in LA.
One of my exchange peeps is a great baker and she influenced me to bake.
After searching for a few cupcake recipes from the Internet and getting all the ingredients from the bakery supplies store, IS TIME TO BAKE!!!!!

The recipes I chose are Banana Chocolate Cupcake and Spring Cupcake.
Last time, Sheryl’s Banana Chocolate Éclair taste so wonderful, so I want to make something taste like that also.
For Spring cupcake just a simple vanilla cupcake and is easy to make.

My Spring Cupcake was so successful, I baked a dozen but I only have 3 left in the end.
After Spring Cupcake, I tried to do chocolate frosting…and failed.
I should use chocolate chips but instead I use cocoa powder. That’s why the “frosting” couldn’t frost…

Baking Banana Chocolate Cupcake was so challenging.
The recipe is so different from the Spring Cupcake which basically just threw everything into the mixer.
It uses more ingredients than the Spring Cupcake, like yogurt and vegetable oil. (so weird…)
Besides that, the egg white also needs to be beaten until “stiff peaks form”. (wth is that???)
I baked 2 dozens of Banana Chocolate Cupcake, the first dozen doesn’t taste like banana chocolate, and instead it tastes like normal chocolate cupcake.
So I added more bananas for the second one, and the second batch turns out taste more banana-ish and it is smoother.
I don’t know which part I did better but the taste just improved. Haha

Since my chocolate frosting failed, I only used sugar glaze as my frosting… that’s why I feel my cupcakes so ugly now…. ARGGGGGG

Whatever, at least now I can bake without any assistance, YAHOOOOO~~~~

Congrats, baker!!!
