There must be something to do with my gen cause my mom is extremely excellent in baking chinese cake. (She even knows how to bake mooncake!!!)
I was craving to bake something since yesterday.
But as my bro doesn't have an oven in Singapore, I couldn't bake.
:((((((((
Then I discovered Nutella and banana on the dining table.
So I decided to make some french crepes.
Is making french crepes counted as baking???
I don't know and I don't care, I just feel like making something sweeeeeeet.
I found a recipe from allrecipes.com.
The reasons I like allrecipes.com are:
1. the recipes are always taste-good guaranteed, I have been using it for my Cupcakes, Snickerdoodles and Japanese Cheesecake.
2. the ingredients always come in right portion, I don't have to modify it.
After getting all the ingredients that I need from FairPrice, I started to make the batter.
The batter took only 10 minutes to prepare but I used more than one hour to transform the raw ingredients to finished products.
The cooking process took me one hour, with only one frying pan and low heat, the thin as paper crepres are really testing my patience.
Well, the result is......the french crepe is so so so delicious~~~
I topped the crepe with strawberry, banana, kiwi, nutella and cream cheese. Wonderful!
Of course the recipe reserves a credit but I think a good cook is also a must. LOL
I love my crepes, I made the perfect "thin-as-paper", hoho, i am so proud of myself~~~
Here is the link to the recipe that I use in case you want to try it by yourself.: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Regular-Crepes/Detail.aspx
It's a real simple recipe that I think anyone who has some basic cooking knowledge would be able to make the yummy crepe.
And here are some of the cooking tips that I discovered when I was cooking:
1. Use some butter for the first crepe, after that you don't really need to add in any butter or oil for the remaining crepes.
2. Use low heat to avoid scorch.
3. Each crepe uses approximately 2 minutes to cook, flip over and cook for another 1 minute.
And last but not least, the photos~~~
hahaha! u make me feel like wan to cook it oso. But, honestly, ur decoration nt really look nice wor. It's better to leave the crepe without any topping... hahaha!
